Hello Rahul,

Thanks for approaching us with your career query.

Rahul that sounds really great that you have been thinking of appearing for the competitive exams. When students think of appearing for such exams they learn many things from these examinations. The Competitive exams teaches you many skills like Time Management,to be Quick, New Learnings etc.
Students should always give the competitive exams like Olympiads and other exams for their career enhancement.

Well like Olympiad you can appear for the competitive exam . Hereby i have mentioned some of the exams-

Nationwide Education and Scholarship Test (NEST) -

http://www.nest.net.in/

DAAD WISE 2016 Working Internships in Science and Engineering

https://portal.daad.de/irj/portal

National Scholarship Examination- NSE

http://niceedu.org/appli.php

These are some of the exams to which you can appear for and i have provided you there respective websites for further details- You will get all the details of the application procedures, last date of submission,Exam Syllabus,Exam Dates etc.

While apart from these you can also participate in various essay writing contests,Debate Contests.
All these will also help you to gain the extra knowledge and learn new things.

While you can also apply to the UPSC,SSC,RRB ,CDSE etc. Governement exams but for this one should be in the final year of graduation or have completed it. Right now i would suugest you to concentrate on your 3rd year Of Mechanical ,score good marks in your graduation and you can give the exams above mentioned in your 3rd year of Mechanical Engineering.

I hope you find this information relevant to your career query.

Feel free to get in touch again.
Wish you Good Luck thumbsup

Thank you
Warm Regards,
