Various states boards have a different rules about it
It is the class where the student gives his first board exam and get experince , After class ten, students in schools connected with the Central Board of Secondary Education in India take the All India Secondary School Examination, usually referred to as board exams. Even after implementing the ambitious project of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation, the board conducts the test every year in February. The exam is now administered by the National Testing Agency instead of the board, as a result of the discontinuation of the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation pattern, which resulted in the Joint Employment Test, NEET, and other exams. Mathematics, Science (physics, chemistry, biology), and S.St (history, geography, democratic politics, and economics) are required in this exam, together with any two languages (official medium language and foreign/schedule languages). Information technology, painting, yoga, music, and artificial intelligence are some of the skill subjects available to students. The Secondary School Completion Certificate, a Statement of Marks, and a Migration Certificate are given to successful candidates.
In India, the tests, sometimes known as 'board exams,' are held with enormous enthusiasm. The Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation was a stream of evaluation that children used to study in. This strategy was implemented by then-Union HRD Minister Kapil Sibal to help pupils cope with stress.
Exam concepts of class 10th
Practical assessment strategies such as assignments, classroom projects, and presentations are scored out of a total of 90 points (theoretical/written). Each subject is graded out of a total of 80 points (theoretical), with the remaining 20 points (internal assessment) divided into five points for practical assessment, five points for notebook submission, and ten points for practise tests administered independently by schools affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education.
The Central Board of Secondary Education altered this arrangement for the academic year 2019-20, keeping the 80 marks for theory but increasing the number of questions and providing more internal choices in the paper. They also reduced the weight of tests from 10 to 5 and increased the marks of assignments to 15 (Multiple assessments and Portfolio) to combat rote learning in schools.
Each candidate takes five or six exams, each worth 100 points, with the best five subjects being considered. The inclusion of English and a regional language is required. They are graded out of 500 points, and the percentage is then calculated.
To pass the exam, students must achieve a minimum score of 40 out of 100 in each topic.
As According to UP BOARD Minium age for 10th class is 14 years and maximum 18 yrs age fot 10th class .
