Hi

Electrical Engineering is the field of engineering that works on the electricity generation, manufacturing and designing of electrical appliances and supply and distribution of electricity.
There is nothing a girl can not do.Infact there is no branch which is girl or boy specific. It all depends on the girls to choose the best for thier potential.

There is no particular branch branded for girls. If it suits your personality and aptitude you should go for it.

Be it any branch ,boy or a girl, what is important to excell in it is interest, confidence and a marvelous talent .

Every branch is suited for girls-

CSE,IT computer branches
ECE is the electronic branch
EEE is the electrical branch
MECH is the one which deals with the motors

Now a days girls are dominating in these fields.Sex doesn't matter in any field.Engineering requires some talent and abilities, any one who has it can opt for it.

Here is a list of some of the best colleges where you can enroll yourself-

Guru Teg Bahadur Institute of Technology, Delhi

Engineering college for women ,Delhi

Amity University,Delhi

D.Y.Patil Of Engineering and Technology,Maharashtra

Maharishi Karve Shree Shikshans cummins college of Engineering for women,Pune

Institute of engineering for women,Rajasthan

College of engineering Tamil nadu Chennai

MIT women engineering college,Maharashtra.

Follow your heart and choose the one your heart beats for as you have to make a career in that branch.

Girls can be better than boys in engineering fields if they have burning desire to learn. There are plenty of job opportunities also.

So without any doubt you can go for it. Believe in your self rest will follow for sure.

ALL THE BEST!!!!!

My Dear Girl,

Hello! Firstly reading your query made me instantly sit and answer it since I do not wish that a girl should miss any career opportunity just by considering that a particular career is not for females / women. This is not at all true. I am very glad further that you approached the right platform of CareerGuide.com to seek guidance. My colleague Ms. Jyoti Dhingra has nicely adviced you. However I would like to put some points for your consideration.

Engineering prima facie is considered by many as an hectic field and girls are considered as not so physically strong & healthy to sustain the hard work. This is not at all true my dear..

Construction Project Management is one area where Engineers like Civil, Mechanical and Electrical are important and vital. Without these three Engineers no project can be complete.

Construction Project Managment is most suitable for girls since this is the area which is about the office and back end work more than the site or on field work. The above three Engineers if learn Construction Project Management through a formal course, then they can be relieved from the hectic daily site work since they will be involved in more of planning, designing, strategy, costing, finance, supply chaim management, supervision, which all are indoor work.

A girl like you can definitely learn Construction Project Management and get into the back end work of a construction or infrastructure project.

My Dear, please do remove the notion that you have and I am sure that every women is equally capable and competent. I salute the women power.

One Institute which offers full time course in Construction Project Management is located in Pune Maharashtra with the name Samvit School of Infrastructure Business. www.samvitinfra.edu.in

Best Luck My Dear...
