Hi arvind,

Higher study leave depend on bank rules. For this you need to talk to the senior person of the bank.

If you are a post graduate you can sit for UGC-NET exam for lectureship , preparing yourself for that after your work hours.
This will give you lectureship positions in various govt or private colleges. Along with that you can pursue your Phd part time.

Hope this helps

All the best

Dear MCG,

According to me, SBI will grant leave of 3 years only if the course you do is beneficial to them.

Leaving SBI and doing lecturership is a drastic decision and I hope you have cooly thought why you would want to change your career path from working in a corporate world to teaching.

Part time PhD are now not available since the UGC has modified its rules for PhD. If at all there are part time PhD degrees available, then you would have to seek a written persmission from the employer (SBI) and then only University will accept you as a part time PhD student, otherwise you will have to do full time PhD mandatorily.

To being lecturership, the shortest way is to qualify the UGC NET/SET exam.

Bst wishes.
