Hello Tarun,
When you mean professional courses, I am assuming CA ( Chartered Accountancy).
Ofcourse it is a stand alone course, does not require a back-end support at all. But at the end of the day it is a certificate only. And industries these days, prefer someone with as degree.
So it would be mandatory for him to pursue a degree along with CA.,.
Another reason to pursue a degree, is that, if he wishes to pursue higher studies like MBA or wishes to go abroad, then he would get admission only based on his degree there.
Thus pursuing a degree is a must along with CA or any professional course.
