What is your sons current qualification?.
I would strictly advise in terms of further studies and job, he must opt for a BE or B.TECH course only after 12th, after clearing the entrance exam.
If he is just 10th pass, then he could opt for a diploma course and after completion, can opt for a lateral entry into the 2 nd year degree course.
After 12th a diploma, means again enrolling for a degree course whereby that time is for a masters degree.
