MBBS was always the best choice, but since you have not got into MBBS, the second preference people make is of BAMS (Ayurveda).
BAMS has definitely good scope and is equally respected medical profession.
You definitely have good opportunities in BAMS.

BAMS, is not a substitute to MBBS, but please note that Ayurveda has a lot of scope too.
You can also opt for Alternate medicine after clearing BAMS, which will help you in your practice.
