Online PG Diploma + MBA in IT Management

Myself is Rajan and I am B.com graduate and I want to do online-distance course in IT (PGD + MBA dual certificate course). I am looking for a university which must be UGC, DEB & AICTE approved and still active and who shall provide me above mentioned course. I request you to understand my requirement and provide the name of universities where I can enroll. Location is not an issue since going for online education. Since you are BCom graduate doing an MBA seems a fine decision. But you say that you are interested in IT.




I would suggest you something different that what you have thought.




Firstly, doing an online course and that too in IT field is not what I would recommend you considering that you are a fresher having completed only a bachelor degree with no work experience. Please understand that online or distance learning courses are most suitable and recommended for those who have atleast 5 years of work experience and such courses are recommended for people who are just looking to remain updated and seek a job shift or promotion in the current job.




Do not opt for distance learning MBA ever since this is not accepted by the industry for recruitment for freshers. I hope you do not have the attitude to do your education in short cut and in least effort. This is not good in the long term. Please also let me make you aware that no distance learning MBA is recognised by UGC or AICTE or DEC. DEC does not exist anymore and has been merged wuth UGC. Only full time / part time courses are eligible for approval and recognition from UGC or AICTE.




What I would recommend is, if you are highly interested in IT field, then after BCom you can go for Masters in Computer Application (MCA) course which is a three year full time course and also comes with placement assistance from colleges and institutions. Another option is you do an MBA from a very good institute and University. You can do MBA in Finance, HR, Marketing, Operations, International Business. Also if you choose MCA, even after MCA there are many who do part time MBA in Systems or IT.




Please do give a serious thought to my advice.
