Hi Friend,

Unorganised Sector
A very good Morning, Thanks a lot foracknowledgement of the guidance reallyappreciated your feedback.

Now since you said you are confused about MBA at first let me tell you what you could expect after becoming a MBA. MBA has became a basic degree over the last few years mainly because of mushrooming of collegesand institutes acrossIndia. Most of these colleges do not have a building forget about faculty orcurriculum.

Thus it would be my suggestion to forget about your old performance because of following reasons

Admission test : Most of good MBAcollegeswould useadmissiontest as criteria for admission incollegesand thus what matters is yourperformancein the test.

Work Exp : Since you have told us in last querythatyou are working lot of good colleges givesweight ageto work experience.

Interview : If you are able to convey in your interview in B- school that why you could not do well in yourgraduation, you would be able to get admission in good B school. Although some colleges may not provide youopportunityfor interview as well based on the result of B.com

Now Please get this thing out of your mind that you are a weak student, first you shouldbelievein you so that others have confidence in you.

It would be My Personal suggestion that youshouldfocus on Doing Distance learning MBA from a good college or university rather than a full time MBA from a low level college. This decision to do Distance MBA would save lot of time and money also you could continue working and get more experience under your name, once you finish MBA with 3-4 year experience you can get a good growth.

This is my suggestion although you may decide based on yourpreference. Still if you want any List of Distance learning colleges, kindly find below some university or colleges

  • Symbiosis college of Distance learning
  • IndraGandhiNationalopenuniversity
  • Sikkim Manipaluniversity
  • Mumbai university
  • Delhi University
  • ICFAIuniversity
  • Dr B.R. Ambadekar University

These list a indicative list and you couldcheck their office in your city itself. I would request you to avoid anyprivateuniversity like LPU or others since they are not widely accepted in coroprates

In case of any query do write back

All the best!!!

Rgds,
Vaibhav

Dear Aspirant,

Why are you thinking that MBA is the ONLY course in the world that you need to do.

If you are weak in your studies, there must be definitely something else in which you are very intelligent and skilled and capable. You need to find out what is that thing which you love to do. If you find this out, then qualification is not always required and that too a qualification of MBA.
There are thousands of MBAs who are without jobs, because they dont know what they have studied and juts have paper degrees.

A good MBA only can survive in the competition and therefore it is important to do MBA from top Institutes.

To be best sure of what suits you for your career, I would suggest you to undergo an online psychometric test from CareerGuide which will help you understand yourself in respect of your strengths, weaknesses, emotional quotient, etc. and will exactly tell you which career is ideal for you.
You can then call counsellors to discuss.

Best wishes!
