BPO / KPO experience is not considered for core sector or domain is very true and a fact of the day. It is genuine too.

You having worked into BPO companies for eight long years, now its very difficult for you to change into core domain industry even though you are MBA Finance qualified. You may be well able to get into core accounts or finance domain but as a fresher, which will result into low salary.

I would like to ask you why do you wish to change to core account work after having spent good amount of eight years in BPO company? I think you should re-consider your decision, since even you manage to get into the core domain of accounts, you will need another five years to settle down there. Your eight years experience exactly wont be helpful there at all.

I would recommend you not to step out of your current job profile, since in the BPO or KPO sector there are opportunities to grow. Also you need not do any other add on academic course.

I would recommend you to find out ways as to how you can progress in the BPO / KPO sector and climb up the management ladder. May be a course in Project Management will be good. Project Management qualification can give you that much needed change while remaining in the current sector and will also help you switch jobs to another BPO / KPO. Project Management will also give you chance to look at other similar industry.

Unfortunately, though BPO / KPO companies employ people in huge quantity, the quality of work and expertise is at low levels. I can understand that you may be feeling stagnated or frustrated after having worked for eight years in BPO / KPO companies, but actually and frankly speaking you need to continue and find ways to remain in the current sector. Going to another sector will be altogether new for you and will take more time again all over again to settle and find peace.

I think you need to look for peace within and between what you are currently for a better life.
