Hi Simran,

The Institute of management were from a very long time trying to setup a curriculum, whereby they could train the young minds which have not yet been influenced.
Meaning, they wanted young minds fresh out of college and not just being a Graduate, since Graduates over the period of time have learnt through experiences and can sometimes be rigid.

Thus IIM Indore, has begun this integrated program for students.

As far as the pros and cons are concerned, it is a completely new program in the market. So to check the viability in terms of employment will surely take some more time.
But looking at the course curriculum, it is exposing the child to an wholesome development right from finance to HR to marketing.
And the best part is backing the course with a prestigious Institutes recognition.

Definitely if management is your end choice, you can opt for this course, since it covers all spectrum and the basics of management is covered and the best part is the best institute recognition certificate.

Best will be to go through the University website and try and speak to the management staff especially the placement cell. If possible try and meet the existing students to get a first hand review.

Hope this helps.

Wish you good luck............

Dear Aspirant,

Currently courses from IIMs are not degrees. They are just programmes given as a Diploma Certification.

However the Govt. of India has already tabled a Bill to grant authority to IIMs to award Degrees like MBA and PhD. So IIM Indore will also be able to award degrees and diploma formally.

IIM Indore is the only IIM which has introduced IPM.

I would suggest you that you should go ahead with this and it is worth spending 5 years.

Visit IIM Indore and speak to the faculty and students.

Best Wishes
