When you say publishing career job, what exactly are you talking about?
In a publishing house, you could have positions like editor, journalist, advertising guy, translator, Public relation officer, finance, admin etc.
Which one are you looking out for.
As per my understanding you wish to work as a journalist to publish a book.
Please note that after 12th any stream, you could do a course in mass media, popularly known as BMM. Eligibility is an entrance exam. A 3 years course whereby in the final year you could choose anyone specialization from journalism, advertising or public relations.
Anoother route is by pursuing a degree in english literature. Post this you could work as an editor or translator.
