Finance is one of the most important functional area in any commercial organization and chartered accountant plays a vital role in it. Chartered accountancy has been one of the ost admired , respected and a well paying profession among the various other career options in the commerce field. CAs are mainly responsible for financial health of a company. With increasing liberalization, privatization and globalization iof Indian economy , the placement prospects of CAs are at its best,The various work areas of CAs are :-
Accountancy- involves operating accounts, interpreting , supervising and controlling and organizing income and expenditure, doing internal audits, preparing financial statement etc.
Auditing- involves reviewing financial statements of client o employer
Tax Management- involves providing advice to client on tax related matters.
Consultancy- involves offering services in areas like project planning and finance , investment counselling in respect of securities, capital issue, budgeting , market research etc.
Cost Accounting-involves introducing cost control, methods in an organization and assisting management in determine appropriate selling prices.
Special Company work- providing services in connection with matters such as the formation, financial structures and liquidation of limited companies.

CA can work with banks, public limited companies, auditing firms, finance companies, stock broking firms, portfolio management companies, legal or CA firms.
