With evolving industrial requirements the demand of electrical engineers is rising. There are four branches of electrical engineering i.e. power, communications, electronics and control systems. The engineers who specialize in power are involved in the generation of transmission, distribution and application of power from sources such as water, nuclear and solar energy and fossil fuel. The engineers who have specialization in communication are involved in equipment engineering, circuit transmission, traffic plant and acoustical engineering. this branch of engineering is involved in engineering design systems that receive, transmit and deliver information into audio and video forms. They develop and implement computer systems. The engineers with specialization in control system design automatic regulators, guidance systems and robotics controls. They can find employment in chemical companies, power sector firms, telecommunication organization and IT firms. The opportunities are their in fields such as railways, electrical device and system manufacturing units, healthcare device equipment manufacturing sector. They can also find employment in research organizations, design industry, chemical and steel sector and petroleum organizations
. The electricity boards, atomic power plants, hydroelectric power plants, thermal power plants and various multinational companies absorb proficient electrical engineers. The remuneration of electrical engineers is satisfactory at fresher level which may range from Rs 15000/- and above.
