Hello

Psychologist

Thank you for choosing Meracareerguide and writing to us. Psychology is a well established science field and there is definitely a lot of scope in this field. This well says Psychology will definitely give a promising career without any saturation. This is also a research intensive course that explains there will be continuous research happening offering new scope of job opportunities. Moreover Psychology is a vast behavioural science offering many branches. To be honest a decade now, Psychology was only associated to reading minds and analysing behaviour. But at the present years it is much more evolved than that.

To give a few examples, Psychology is applied in Organisational Management subjects.
These days psychology is applied in organisational management subjects like the Organisational behaviour, Organisational change management, Women psychology, Social psychology, Work psychology, Industrial psychology and Organisational psychology. Each of these above mentioned fields are recently evolved in the past ten years and they are predominantly in use in research at organisational management level and also at academic level. They get involved in understanding employee behaviour within organisations. It explores motivation, team work, de-motivation, reward and other analytics and understands what makes success and failures of employees at work. Had these field have not evolved then there might be saturation but as said earlier due to continuous research by scientists and researchers, the field gets continuously evolve and certainly there is no saturation.

Psychology is applied in Marketing. This is another good example, in the earlier years when Psychology subject was initially studied there was no association with marketing. But in the past ten years, this subject has brought a link to marketing known as Consumer psychology or Consumer marketing. This subject aims to understand why are certain products selling well in market, and understand what parameters make the product success in market. It goes in depth to understand whether it is brand name, color of the product, advertisements, usage of celebrity, texture of the product, smell of the product or price of the product that attracts customers and get to make profits in the market. As said, this is relatively a new concept adapted in marketing area.

Like wise Psychology is also combined with Sociology known as Social psychology. This aims to understand how people socially interact and behave in a group or within a society. Psychology is a revolutionary subject that involves continuous research and therefore this field will never get to see saturation. Hope this helps. Good luck.
