Hi,

Very realistic question but both the things are very different. The counselling provided by CBSE is moreover based on selection of seats they don't care about in which branch you are interested they only tells you about the availability of seats in all branches but the psychometric test for engineering shares a brief knowledge about all engineering branches and answers very important question i.e which engineering branch you should opt in order to perform better and get motivated in the field to something new. AICTE have approved over 200 engineering branches categorised in 34 main engineering branches most of the students don't even know about this much engineering branches that's why in India students think what to do next after completing engineering.

The engineering branch selector test of CareerGuide.com tests the four fundamental aptitudes required for every engineer i.e mechanical, closure, spatial and logical aptitude after compiling all the inputs given by aspirant gives a brief report which gives the answer for which engineering branch aspirant should opt.

Dear Aspirant,

CBSE counselling is different than the psychometric test analysis and the counselling thereafter. CBSE only consults and guides for seat selection and college selection.

CareerGuide's psychometric test and specifically the Engineering Branch Selector Test is what is required for an engineering aspirant to decide which stream would be suitable for him/her. This test will enable to assess the potential for engineering branch, interests level, etc.

Best wishes
