Sailing on the ship or flying an Airplane s the dream of many of the students. Students they always dream of making a career in the Defense Sector Viz. Army, Navy and Air Force. To get into the Defense sector a student has to give an NDA exam and needs to quality the same.
The coastal region of the country. Nowadays a lot of goods trading from one country is done through the sea. The sea trading generates a lot of money in the country. Hence the trading business is controlled by the private and private – public sector. Students who wish to make a career in the Navy but in the private sector for them Merchant Navy best in the private sector for them Merchant Navy is the option available. A student has to complete his 10+2 from science stream with physics, Maths and chemistry subject with minimum 60% marks. One can apply for the Marine engineering Research Institute (MERI) Mumbai or Kolkata. A student has to give an entrance exam and should quality the exam. A student can learn the following courses – BSC National Science of 3 years or can do BE Marine engineering of 4 years. The age limit is 25 years for the students to apply. Student should not have color blindness and the eye sight should be 6/6. One can also study B.E. in Naval Architectures offshore engineering, petroleum engineering, Mechanical engineering, Ocean engineering etc. there are some other colleges for merchant navy Maritime Training Academy, National ship Design & Research centre, vizag, National Maritime Academy Chennai , T.S. Chanakya, Mumbai.
