Dear Friend

I welcome your plan to join the defence. First and foremost requirement is the mental and physical fitness which bring you the first level and then your highest qualification to attempt the cadre where you will be fit into.

After 12th with science or humanity background you can appear in National Defence Academy -NDA which will enable you to join at second Laftinent.

After graduation you can appear in Combined Defence Services Examination which is meant for higher level of army officers.

These tow are the top prestigious institutes which offer you the excellent service life dedicated to national interest and make you the most responsible person of society. As far as nature of job and profile are concerned these are very well understood. Before coming to that level of discussion you need to prepare first and get ready with the tough mind set that competition.

NDA conducts twice a year in the month of March to April and August to Sept. notification arrives Sept to october and May to June

Apart from medical fitness you must be attaining sixteen and half age and maximum limit is nineteen.

Specialized wings are available as per your background and ranking in the examination like Air force service at technical level requires math, physics, chemistry background, or biology background, or medical background.

Like wise it has national defence academy of naval at executive level. It has army wing also which require simple secondary background.

Better you can visit the website of national defence academy which is situated in dehradun rather you can visit the academic institution for your encouragement and get familiar with their day to day life and life style.

As far as combined defence service is concerned after graduation it has same approach of conduct.

Well information are very much available online, very important facts you have to understand that your willingness, dedication, and believe which can make you eligible for above listed gateways which go to the premium service of nation.

It Junior level like clerical, force personal, armymen, or other fourth class of service you can explore the opportunities of frequent recruitment which happen directly in the army camp and that occur on the spot. For that also you need to be at least 10th or 12th now a days even graduates are also desperate due to the lack of of employment.

Best of luck

Dr, manoj

There are number of ways through which any one can commission in Army. You can join army right after school or after graduation in any discipline. In Indian army there are many types of commission, it is permanent as well short service commission. Permanent commission is granted through Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun, Uttrakhand. The short service commission (SSC) is granted through Officers training Academy (OTA), Chennai. when you opt for a permanent commission, it mean you are looking for a permanent career in Army, if you opt for a short service commission, it means you are looking for a defense job only for few years. You may join after 10+2 through NDA (National defense Academy), Kharkwasla, here you will become commissioned army officer besides doing your graduation. Every year two times, UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) advertise for a competitive examination. After passing the exam, you have appear in front of SSB (Service Selection Board), where physical, psychological and personnel interview will decide your fate.

After graduation, you will be eligible to appear in competitive exams conducted by UPSC (two times in a year), selection procedure is same as that of NDA.
