Suggest me some courses for an IT job after completion of my B.com

Hello. Currently i am pursuing B.com Computer Applications 2nd year in Andhra Pradesh. My aim is to get an IT job after my B.com. But i came to know that additional IT certifications will be much useful in geting a job which i dreamed. But i am confused about which course should i do and where should i do and what are the basic salary packages if i study a particular computer course. Because there are various courses like Java, .NET, Cisco, Microsoft and other diploma courses. So please suggest me some courses which can be done along with or after my B.com so that i can get an IT job easily. I have a knowledge in MS-Office, Adobe Photoshop, C Language and knowledge on working on Internet.

Hello There! Looking at your query I am glad that you have approached CareerGuide.com for seeking guidance and solution to your career query and confusion. I am sure that you will get the desired solution and advice from the experts here.

I am an Educationist and have been counselling students for more than seven years and also have been into teaching and writing on career management in reputed newspapers and magazines published all over India.

I understand that you are doing BCom and would like to pursue your career in Info.Tech industry. For a successful career in Info.Tech - which is a strong and growing and high paying industry - I would also suggest you a strong education foundation for making a successful career in Info.Tech with an equally strong qualification. I appreciate that you are passionate towards the Info.Tech and wish to pursue your dream career in that.

Instead of doing short term certification courses along side BCom or after BCom, I would strongly suggest you to avoid those and pursue MCA - Masters in Computer Application from your local University. MCA is a qualification which can be done by any graduate and Info.Tech industry always demands MCAs along with other education qualifications like BE, etc. MCA is a strong qualification for a strong industry and which will make you a good candidate for a job. MCA is a three year full time course and very well reputed and accepted by the Info. Tech industry.

With MCA qualification, your job profile, salary package will also be higher than a person who does only small certification courses. MCA course will give you the over all and every knowledge required to work in the Info.Tech company with confidence.

I am suggesting you MCA taking into consideration that you are non-science student and therefore a course like MCA will be best for a non-science student like you.

The salary packages given to an MCA is around Rs. 35000 per month and there is no upper limit for a worth and extra ordniary candidate.

If at all you wish to pursue any certification while doing MCA or after doing MCA, you can choose CCNA certification.

Best Luck.
