The aim of homeopathy is to provide a rapid , gentle and safe method of treatment and cure. It is equally effective in dealing with long term chronic ailments and acute illness like flu, viruses , coughs and colds. Homeopaths approach their patients in a holistic way means the whole of the body and spirit is dealt with, not just the particular disease. It is a safe , effective and gentle approach to health and provides an alternative to drugs and surgery. Homeopathy differs from allopathy in diagnostic and treatment procedures. Homeopathy generally begin with detailed examination of their patient's history including questions regarding their physical, emotional and mental states, their life circumstances, food habits and and physical/ emotional illness. The homeopath then attempts to translate this information into a complex formula of mental and physical symptoms including likes, dislikes, innate predispositions and body types. The goal is to develop a comprehensive representation of each individual's overall health. After understanding the patient's temperament, personality , life style and all the symptoms, the homeopath tries to find the one drug most closely matching the symptom totality of the patient
. To be successful as homeopath one needs to have a strong belief in and commitment to homeopathy, an interest in alternative and complementary approach to health, responsive to patient's personal issues and problems, good listener, must have the ability to instill trust and form a rapport with all kinds of people and should be analytical, confident, enthusiastic and energetic enough to promote and build a practice.
