To be a successful jewelry designer one needs have good hand and eye coordination, practical skills with tools and materials, an understanding of metals and other materials, accuracy and attention to detail, [artistic creativity][1] imagination, anesthetic sense, color sensitivity, interest in and awareness of new ideas ,understanding and appreciation of prevalent tastes, customs, traditions and trends in various parts of society and in the different parts of the country and the world.



To [excel in this profession one must possess the ability][2] to communicate ideas to clients/ customers and artisans/ workers equally well, the ability to take criticism and willingness to lower their artistic standards occasionally in the interest of economic necessity or technical workmanship.With aforesaid work values and required training one can find employment with big export or designer houses or in small exclusive set up.



They can start their own jewelry shop or training center. With proper international contacts , export opportunities may be tapped on an individual basis as jewelry designer.
