I am currently pursuing B.A. English (Honours) from Delhi University. I intend to pursue journalism specializing in Travel. I would like to know about the best way to go about it in terms of further education.

  1. Ensure to have loads of internships in your resume. Internships related to writing on travel blogs, travel reviews etc. In three years of course - I would say min. three internships would be good - on an avg. 1 every year.

There are many travel startups who would love to have you as an intern - some of them could be :

  1. Have your own travel blog. Pen down your own travel experience. Maintain and regularly update it.

  2. Travel and travel and travel and share your experience- inform of videos/pictures - instagram accounts etc.

Above two could help you even get a full time job without having to further do an higher ed. If still you want to go for higher ed - a journalism course or mass comm should be good enough. But even after that you will need to folllow my three bullet points.
