Please note, boards matter when you are at the beginning of ones education life. Since it is helpful in building ones base and most importantly ones studying habits, necessary lifelong.

If you are talking about making a choice between State Boards, CBSE or ICSE then I need to have some more information about you and you current education level and your future plans for your education.
All Boards are good and they hardly matter when you climb the education ladder and get into higher education. If you are thinking of engineering or medical admissions, where maths is a dominant subject then people prefer CBSE.
If you are not that academically good, then sticking to the State Board is recommended.
