Hello There!

I am very happy to know your inclination, interest and passion for becoming a Chartered Accountant and that too without leaving your job. This is really a great strength and I feel you are highly motivated and dedicated person. I am glad that you sought to approach for seeking guidance for your career query.

I understand that you are already an MBA and working and wish to do Chartered Accountancy without leaving your job. My Dear, as complimented above, you are doing a great job and have the necessary determination.

You say that you do noot wish to leave your job and so you cannot complete your internship which is mandatory under the ICAI rules. I would say that this would not be possible. What you can do is, approach the company in which you are working and check with the ICAI Chapter whether that company is in the list of companies who have agreed to take CA candidates for articleship. If yes, then you can approach your company HR and request them to club your employment with articleship so that you can comply with the internship rules of ICAI and that too without leaving your job.

If not, you can complete your CA Intermediate level without internship and I think MBA Finance and CA Inter is a good qualification very well accepted in the industry.

Frankly you cannot skip the internship / articleship period which is mandated by ICAI.

The above is the only solution thing which according to me would be good. Also I recommend you to speak with a senior chartered accountant or to the officials of the ICAI Chapter in your city and they will also be in a better position to guide you and also give you recommendations for change of job so as to satisfy the internship compliance.

Best Luck.
