In any commercial organization , finance is one of the most important functional area and chartered accountant plays vital role in it. Chartered accountancy has been one of the most admired, respected and well paying profession among st the various other options in the commerce field. A CA is a person who becomes a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India after having passed the final examination of the course conducted by the institute. CA are mainly responsible for financial health of a company. With increasing liberalization, privatization and globalization of Indian economy, the placement prospects of CAs are at the best. The various work areas of CA includes:-
Accountancy- involves operating accounts, interpreting , supervising , controlling and organizing income and expenditure, dong internal audits, preparing financial statements etc
.
Auditing- involves methodical examination and review of financial statements of employer or client.
Consultancy- involves providing services in areas like project planning and finance, corporate law advice, investment counselling in respect of securities, capital issues , budgeting , market research etc.
Tax Management- involves rendering general advice on taxes to clients.
They can find employment with:-
Banks - both private and public
Public Limited companies
Auditing firms such as KPMG, Price water house etc
Finance companies
Stock Broking Firms
Legal firms, legal houses, patent firms, attorneys, trade mark and copyright registers
Independent professional practice
CA firms
