In today's troubled times , companies are trying to costs and improve efficency. Most of them choose to recruit skilled and trained industrial engineers. Industrial engineers can find employment with :-


  1. Manufacturing Units
  2. Consumer Electronics Industry
  3. Medical and Pharmaceutical units
  4. Textiles Industry
  5. Information Technology
  6. Other public sector industries like petroleum , steel and chemical industry
  7. Private consultancy firms
  8. Research & Development establishment of big companies

The work in any of the above mentioned industry may include all or any of the following :-

Designing better methods and facilities for manufacturing and services. They study the various industrial processes involved, use mathematical models and computer simulations to devise manufacturing systems that are more efficient.
