The insurance industry has grown tremendously in the past few years. it offers a variety of career opportunities for school leavers and university graduates as well as professionals like actuaries, accountants,MBAs , marketing and sales personnel, risk managers , engineers lawyers, human resource managers , IT specialists and customer service officers etc. graduates fro a diverse range of disciplines like business, commerceinformation technology companies managing underwriting , claims processing etc. entry level placements could be as management trainees , executive trainees, business analysts, business development managers, actuarial analyst, insurance analyst etc depending on type of company and level of qualification. graduates and post graduates eligible to take up actuarial examination are typically recruited by actuarial employers and placed as actuarial trainees. the life insurance corporation of India recruits assistant administrative officers in generalist cadre from among candidates with a bachelor's /master's degree from a recognized Indian or Foreign UNIVERSITY who are recruited through a selection process comprising a written examination and personal interview. LIC and the non life public sector insurance companies also recruit assistant administrative officers and administrative officers from among the professional qualified such as MIT/ MCA , chartered accountants and the actuary qualified. the industry would become increasingly more competitive and would require professionals to manage the underwriting and actuarial work so as to create rates which are viable and also stress more on the underwriting process. [Marketing would emerge as][1] the key since the companies would be selling different policies .the penetration rate of health and other non life insurances in India is well below the international level, which just demonstrates the immense growth potential of the insurance sector.

Hi There,

There is no one way which is the best way to find a job.

As such, you can directly based on your qualification, apply directly to the insurance company for a job.
Make an updated Resume stating your latest qualification and achievement and what all can you contribute and send it across to firms either online through the company website or by post.

Other than that you can post your Resume with various online job portals like Naukri, Jobs ahead etc.

Lastly through reference. But mainly references work for higher level positions, not the junior or entry level positions.

Hope this is what you wanted information on.

Write back to us for any further query.

Wish you good luck...........
