Psychology is the study of human behaviour. To pursue a career in psychology,one should have a genuine desire to help people. Psychologist mainly work with human mind and thoughts.

With the present scenario the demands of a psychologist are increasing and so as the employment opportunities.

Psychologist do not want a medical degree. But one need have a lot of experience and specialized education. Psychologist analyze intentions, reaction and feeling of mankind.

To start a career in psychology one need to have a related education . After 10+2 , one can go for BA Hons course in psychology or BA pass with psychology as one of the subject. After Bachelors course one can pursue master's course in psychology with specialization. Different branches of specialization are clinical psychology, industrial psychology, community psychology, health psychology, educational psychology, rehabilitation psychology, sports psychology etc.

Mphil and Phd in psychology are next options.

Jobs- After graduating in psychology one can work under some senior psychologist and gain practical experience. Jobs options are open in Hospitals, Rehab center, NGO's , Public organizations, private organizations etc. Students with industrial psychology can work for corporate sector hiring psychologist these days for employee counseling.

Salary- Remuneration depends on the work experience and type of field working in.
