. In actual plant design , an industrial engineer figure out which comouter systems , machines and automated equipments will be used in the design and manufacturing pricess. They determine the most effective layout for equipments, computers and offices such that it is flexible and esaily maintainable. They are respomsible for automating a production process. They are responsible to figure out the best possible systemn for handling and storage of raw material, setting inventory size as well as packaging and the physical distribution of goods and services. In addition to these responsibikities they are responsible for worker safety and work environment. The industrial engineer has an option to manufacturing organisations , engineering consultancy organizations lke L&T & Tata Engineering Services, Public Sector Industries like petroleum, Steel and chemical, Medical & Pharmaceutical , Textile, telecommunication, Consumer Electronics & IT.
