Hello My Dear...

I am happy to see that you are wishing to be a 'complete engineer'. I compliment you for that. I am glad that you approached CareerGuide.com for seeking guidance for being a complete engineer.

As complimented above, you have the right attitude and your wish to become a complete engineer is very much appreciable.

Always remember that to become a complete professional, like a doctor, engineer, accountant, anything, it is very important to have the right attitude, determination, dedication, perseverance and a positive outlook towards career and life.

For being a complete engineer, you need to be very good in technical domain since that is your core area with which people will remember you and ask you for work based on that. Apart from being a master in related domain work and knowledge, an engineer today also needs to have the business sense, business awareness and business management skills. These skills are like an icing on the domain and technical expertise which an engineer has. These skills are very much required by the industry today but unfortunately it is not getting engineers having the business management skills.

Here, by business management skills, I am not talking about general business management skills which can be acquired by doing courses like MBA, but I am talking about specialised business management skills which are called as Project Business Management. It is highly recommended that an engineer should always be related to his / her core area and expertise and that is of 'engineering'.

Engineering plus Project Business Management can take engineer today to new heights of career success with good stability and growth prospects.

Best Luck
