Food technologists are mainly required in food processing companies. These companies need their services in diffrent departments such as production, quality assurance , research and development etc. There are private as well as public sectors which provide lucrative job opportunities to food technologists.

To be a successful food technologist on e should have scientific bent of mind, excellent power of concentration and observation, keen interrst in scientific nad technological development and an interest in health and nutrition. One should alo have good sense of responsibility , aility to work well in teams , effective copmmunication skills and a discrening approah to food products. A keen interest in science , high standards of hygeine and cleanliness , commitimemt and motivation are some of the pre-requisities of job. A high level of accuracy is also very much essential to be successful.

If an individual have the above set of personal values and rwquiredqualification, than one can find employment in hotels, retailing organizations, hospitality industry, food industry, packaging industry, rice mills, health departments, food processing industry, soft drink factories, distilleries, lecturer and research in various labs.
