Polymers are materials made up of large molecules of identical or similar units and united by chemical bonds. plastic engineers take apart raw materials such as coal, tar, coal, petroleum , wood, natural gas and salt and then rearrange their molecules to make synthetic materials. Scientific bent of mind , mechanical aptitude, enquiring approach and highly developed powers of observation. Advanced courses demand a high degree of academic ability , creative imagination, an analytical mind, resourcefulness, curiosity, interest in problem solving and technological development
