. Plastic today play an important role in day to day life in diverse areas such as packaging, transportation, communication, sports , entertainment and medical devices. The rubber industry produces tyres, hoses, footwear and many other products. Polymers are materials made up of large molecules of identical or similar units and united by chemical bonds. plastic engineers take apart raw materials such as coal, tar, coal, petroleum , wood, natural gas and salt and then rearrange their molecules to make synthetic materials. Scientific bent of mind , mechanical aptitude, enquiring approach and highly developed powers of observation. Advanced courses demand a high degree of academic ability , creative imagination, an analytical mind, resourcefulness, curiosity, interest in problem solving and technological development
