Hi Komal,

When you speak about banking career options, it is quite confusing.

Because these days banks have lots of opportunity and are connected with different segments of the society.
eg. The credit card banker.

In short, a 12th pass student with minimum 50% is eligible to join banks as a clerical stafff. Whereas a Graduate can join in as a Probationary officer.

Please note that to join Banks, one needs to clear the Entrance exams conducted by banks and RBI for various positions.

You can join banks in any of the department:

  • Loans
  • Retail
  • Finances
  • Mortgage
  • Lockers
  • Cashier
  • Investment

Hope this helps.

Wish you good luck....

Dear Aspirant,

To be in a bank, if you are aiming for private banks, then you should be an MBA or CA/CWA/CS/LLB. If you are aiming for public banks, you have to appear for IBPS exams

Some more options are:

Treasury Management

Forex Management

Recovery

Law Department

Best wishes
