Delhi is one of the popular destinations for law students in India. In Delhi some colleges provide BA.LLB. which is a graduation courses, while most of the colleges which are established long before still follow the 3-year law degree courses. The 3-year degree course was changed after some time, and then new integrated course of 5 year was brought. So this list also includes college which provide only for LLB 3 year course.

 National Law University, New Delhi

This is one of the most prestigious colleges for law in India. This is also the only NLU which do not take admit students on the basis of CLAT (Common Law Admission Test).  They conduct their own entrance exam known as AILET. AILET is conducted around the same time as that of CLAT & their pattern is also somewhat similar. This is conducted every year. B.A.LLB, LLM & Ph.D. degree are provided in this NLU. Fees for BALLB are around 1.2 lakhs per year. This is considered as one the best colleges for law, this also has some location advantages. Since Delhi has branch of every office, many company come & hire students from NLU.

Faculty of Law, University of Delhi

One of oldest colleges established in India for law post graduations. This still follows the three-year law degree. This college was established in the year of 1924. Forms were available online on its website. An online account on Delhi University’s portal is required to be made where relevant information like name, mark sheets etc are submitted. Here only further instructions are provide for the college. Fees here are really low as compared to other colleges. Students are charged with a fee of 10,000, but there are also some additional charges of 5,000. An entrance test is conducted for 3 different centers, eligibility for which is 50% marks in graduation.

Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia University

Located at South Delhi this institution came into existence in 1989. They have reservation for Muslims, around 50%. This intuition provides for post graduation in law LLB, after graduation. Jamia takes students on the basis of an entrance test take by the same institution & an interview followed by the test. The interview is only done in a few courses, not all. Application are submitted online only, there is no offline application. The number of seats available is low.

 

 

 

O.P.Jindal Global University, Jindal Global Law School, Sonepat

In Jindal, they take students on the basis of LSAT. You sign up for the LSAT test and then apply to the college by filling the admission forms. Once the LSAT results are out the college contacts you as per their merit list.  Law School Admission Test (LSAT) is a worldwide level law entrance examination, conducted in around 50 countries. LSAT takes place 4 times around the year in the designated test centers throughout the world. It is managed by Law School Admission Council (LSAC). There are also other Law colleges which accept admission in under graduation on the basis of LSAT score. LSAT has its own website altogether, you fill its form from there & it’s an offline paper. Since it is also for admission in various other countries, it is conducted 4 times per year.

Amity Law School, Noida

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Common Entrance Exam is conducted every year for admission in Amity Law School. It is considered in top schools of India for Law. It was founded in the year 1999.  Hostel facility is provided in the college. Fees in this college are around 80,000. All of the top tier law firms come to this college for placement.

 Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, New Delhi

Common entrance test (CET) is the admission test conducted by the College itself. This test has various sections. They take students through CET. The fees structure is almost 64,000 rupees for a year. Students should have 50% marks in their 10+2 for becoming eligible for this entrance test. They also provide for an age limit i.e for general students ts 20 years & for SC/ST/OBC students limit is 22 years.
