Psychology as a branch of science has emerged as an importance career options for students. Psychology is basically the study of human mind and their thought processes.

In recent time the importance of psychology has increased and so as the employment opportunities.

A psychologist can find jobs according to their specialized area. Students with clinical psychology or health psychology can finds jobs in Hospitals, NGO's, Rehab centers or can own private clinic. Students with Educational psychology as their specialization can find jobs in school, colleges or education centers. With Industrial psychology as a specialized area one can find jobs in corporate sector and govt organizations. Forensic psychology will help you to get jobs in investigation departments , police department and insurance companies.
Sports psychology with allow you to work in sports federation and on organization.Other specializations are community psychology, family counseling, etc

Social work is also closely related to psychology and students even choose it and work in social welfare organizations, NGO's , Rehab centers etc.

Private practice is another option for psychologist. With few years of practical experience one can even open its own clinic or center.

Teaching and Research are also great options for employment.

Courses- BA hons psychology, MA psychology or MA in specialized area. Mphil and Phd. For teaching at University level one need to qualify UGC-NET exam.
