As the name suggests, Environmental Sciences are more related to living and working with the environment right from the grass root level to the sky.
As an Environmental Scientists, your main role would be to study the effects of Humans, Animals, Industry, Production and other sources of pollution on the Environment.
The major part of your Research would include, finding an approach to living, creating and producing conservation friendly approach that makes human life easier.
They are constantly researching on techniques that can be used for improving lifestyle and making appropriate use of natural resources.

Some of the career opportunities in the field of environmental science includes:

  • Environmental scientist:
    They study and research on the sources of pollution that negatively impact humans, animals, and the environment. Mainly they examine or research on air, water, and soil and develop ways to improve the quality of each of these elements. They come up with techniques that can help manage waste disposal procedures and preserve water supply, and make policies to help sustain and see to it that the policy are being followed.As an environmental scientists one can specialize in areas, such as ecology, conservation, environmental biology, environmental chemistry, or fisheries science.
  • Environmental Ecologist:
    They study the way in which living creatures or organisms are affected by the environment and how they in turn affect the environment.Through tests they come up with solutions to improve ecological habitats.
  • Environmental Manager: Though this stage would come only with a lot of experience, but needs to be maintained here.
    The manager is responsible for the overall function of the team and takes on more responsibility, ensuring that governmental regulations are strictly followed.For this position, one must have a thorough understanding of environmental laws and regulations as well as research experience.
  • Environmental Policy Specialist
    They are the ones who makes in policy and see to it that the Industry, humans etc the policy are well followed.
    Often working for political advocacy organizations, environmental policy specialists work on redesigning laws and policies concerning environmental issues. Mainly their focus is concerning issues related to air pollution, ocean preservation, alternative energy or industrial waste. Depending on the need, they may also recommend changes in the policy keeping public and environment in mind.
  • Conservation Scientist
    Conservation scientists, can also work as environmental Consultants, and are involved in advising landowners and government officials the best way to use land and natural resources. Based on their study of livestock and natural resources, they recommend proper use of resources that can be environmentally friendly.
    Corporates also rely on environmental consultants to guide them in terms of energy conservation, elimination of waste products and the production process are in sync with the environmental policy.
    -Geoscientist:
    A geoscientists is involved in studying the earth composition, characteristics and structure.Scientists here study the past and present structure of the earth and study the samples of water an soil and its impact.
    Geo scientists are concerned with how pollution changes the physical composition and structure of the earth.
  • Oceanographer:
    As the name suggests, they are scientists who studies the properties of the ocean bed and how changes in the ocean lead to changes in the environment
