You have not revealed your background and level of study in biology so I am ready to give you general information related to requirement, mode of study, placement scope etc.

  1. After 12th one can go for clinical level of certification program. technician course, patent executive at fresher level to look out the official assignments, microbiology or pathological certification program.
  2. Many private institutes affiliated or registered with govt regulatory body do provide such certification program for short tenure three to six months. Basically it helps you to equip you on a certain specialized course or process or technique or module which gives you more chances to get employment. Like you have done B.Tech in biotechnology and got an opportunity to attend interview for IPR job and minimum requirement is B.Tech for screening and desirable qualification is B.Tech in Biotech with IPR certification or B.Tech with IPR work experience. Now understand the situation to get the job, very clear candidates those have B.Tech with certification or work experience will be given priority over the candidate with highest CGPA/TGPA will be given least priority.
  3. In any profession degree/ certificate are the steps to go ahead for a job what you are inclined for, not the entire package to bring you a job. That is why aspirants go for the certification program as per the situation of placement in industry.
  4. You can explore the Biotech Consortium India Limited -BCIL promoted by Biotechnology department Govt of India which offers you many opportunity at training level and accordingly you will be picked by any associated industry member giving you training. In fact it is a common platform for aspirants and recruiters and getting benefited with mutual growth.
  5. Similarly Biotech Park, Lucknow, Hyderabad again sponsored by Biotech Department, Govt. of India giving you exposure for several training program and launch you for further job placement.
  6. Many industries having such scheme to educate you on the commercial basis, they offer certification on vaccination, immunization, anti diabetic moment etc which compliment your current degree and help you to process your career.
  7. you can pursue any of the certification program:
    a. Technology transfer
    b. Project Consultancy
    c. Bio-safety
    d. Project management program

All these information are available on given resources cited above

Good luck

Dear friend, thank you for your question. Here you have not mentioned your academic qualifications and what you are doing at present. To attend some certificate program you have to have the 12 standard in biology as one subject. If you have studied the biology from 10 to 12, that would be better, because you will be able to understand the biology subject easily. You should also have graduate degree in any one or more in following biology subjects such as zoology, botany, microbiology, biotechnology, biochemistry, bio sciences.

Let me explain you, to become a biologist, a person is supposed to hold a post graduate or doctoral degree. Then only he or she will be technically biologist. Here you have not mentioned your education and you have only mentioned about certificate programs in Biology.

In India there are some universities which offer diploma in Biology or biology related subjects.

Manipal university,
Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida
Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi
Chaudhary Charan Singh University Meerut

From these universities you may opt diploma programs in biological subjects, The Amity University, Noida do offers the following courses ;
Diploma in Immunology
Diploma in Clinical microbiology
Diploma in Medical Microbiology
Diploma in Dairy Microbiology
Diploma in Biofertilizer technology

Although you an take admission in certificate or diploma courses related to biological subjects but your nature of job will be limited. Therefore, here I would like to suggest you that instead of going for certificate or diploma courses, you should better do degree program in biology.

At least after having a degree in biology subject (zoology, botany, biochemistry, microbiology (clinical or medical or general), biotechnology, bioinformatics, environmental sciences, you will have better job opportunities in governmental as well as in private sector. Why I am saying all this because this also relates to my life experience. After passing MSc in Microbiology from an agricultural university. I decided to go for job, at that time, I was having notion that doing PhD or higher degree is of no use and I will make my career on the basis of MSc degree only. I have got experience of two years after MSc, then during the job I realized that the person holding a doctoral degree are much better than me from economic as well as position point of view.

I resigned and joined doctoral degree. After that I worked in project, and then aboard and now in a prestigious university in India. It is all due to my education.

Now this is the time you should also give a thought to my advice.

With my best wishes....
