The competitive exams that you can attend after 10+2 are so many.But which one you are interested in could be decided by going through your area of interests.

Here you have mentioned about Indian Administrative Services.
Indian Administrative Services exams are conducted by Union Public service commission (UPSC) every year in a- pan -Indian basis.

After taking the exam you will be eligible for Indian Administrative Services and will be allocated services.

Eligibility criteria-

- For I.A.S a candidate should be a citizen of India.
- Candidate should be between 21-30 years (both inclusive) as on the UPSC Examination Notification.
- Candidate must be graduate from a recognized University or a deemed University.
-Candidate appearing for the final year of bachelor's degree and awaiting result can also apply.
-Candidate who has passed the final professional MBBS or any other Medical Examination but has not completed his / her internship by the time of submission of his / her application for the civil services (main) examination.
Important dates were -
Last date to submit application was April 4 ,2013
Date of exam - May 26,2013

CIVIL SERVICES is the name given to numerous departments and services that provide services directly to the public and to the government. The Indian administrative services (IAS) the backbone of the Indian government machinery and is made up of all departments which run the state administration.The officers are recruited by the union government on the recommendation of the union public services commission (UPSC). it is a highly competitive yet powerful and prestigious field.
