The national unemployment rate is holding struck at 5 percent and in some fields jobs are giving opportunity twice as fast as they can be filled.

But obviously life isn’t just about work. It’s about where you stay too, and the jobs in highest demand fluctuate from place to place. It really relies on what industries are driving that part of region.

  1. Applications software developers

Projected increase in 2017: 74.3 percent

Number employed till now (approx.): 18,000

Education/Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer field with strong programming skills.

Job outlook: Application software can help people in automating their process, or it can be a game, or it could be what drives the navigation system in our car. Anything done with a computer is an application. But “computer” these days means a lot in every field: a traditional workstation, a smart phone, a toaster, a robot, a drone of air craft, a watch. There are computers embedded in everything, and every one of them run “application software.” So, it’s no thunderbolt that the people who design and create software are in high demand in present. Often the best jobs from year to year are very much similar. Professionals predict that there will be more than 135,000 new jobs in software development field by 2024. While a bachelor’s degree is necessary for entry-level position.

Number employed till now (approx.): 16,000

Education/Qualification: A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required; this job is open for almost all entry-level engineering jobs.

Job outlook: The growing up of the population and an aging of health issues will drive demand focus for better medical devices and equipment designed by biomedical engineers. The field Biomedical is not just giving opportunities to students who studied Biology as their main subject but opens the gate for those who like medical science. It’s like practically gaining knowledge in biology and medical science and dealing with major health issues.

3.      Network systems and data communications analyst

Projected increase in 2017: 53.4 percent

Number employed till now (approx.): 292,000

Education/Qualification: Most jobs must have a bachelor’s degree, although some only need a two year course or diploma degree. Employers also place a high value on relevant work experience.

Job outlook: This profession will spread because, as more people in present scenario want to run their own business and newer technology, more professionals will be required to check efficiency and set up networks. The network systems are essential to connect hops or routers for data communication. And data communication can be done by professionals by using various cryptographic techniques to encrypt data so that it cannot be offended or attenuated by any third party.

4.      Financial analysts

Projected increase in 2017: 41.2 percent

Number employed till now (approx.): 27,000

Education/Qualification: Financial analysts are required to have a bachelor’s and master’s degree.

Job outlook: As the financial industry grows in complexity and size, so will the demand for analysts, especially at mutual funds. They researches about microeconomic and microeconomic conditions. Other majors that are looked upon favorably include computer sciences, physics, biology and even engineering. 

 

5.      Medical scientists

Projected increase in 2017: 40.4 percent

Number employed till now (approx.): 109,000

Education/Qualification: A PhD in the biological science usually qualifies people to research basic life processes or usual medical problems and to analyze the results of experiments

Job outlook: Medical scientists have enjoyed instant gains in employment since the 80s—reflecting, in part, the growth of biotechnology as a profession. The processing over life and analyzing according to the life style is the basic task for biological scientists. Biotechnology teaches biology with upgrading technology.

There are many more fields which can grow their career profile in coming year. Nowadays, unemployment is growing in population rapidly, but this will be resolved in the coming years as more and more industries will boom.
