Below is the list of the key areas on which the animators work most of the times during their work in day to day life:


1. The animators have to meet their clients and try to understand the requirements well. This is extremely important specially in case of television, movies etc where the character plays an important role in the video and therefore the animator who would be working on the animations of that character, need to understand everything about the character. Then only he or she can add the right visual effects along with the audio technology to make it appear professional and catchy to the viewers. They spend a lot of time while interacting with the clients to clarify all the aspects of the project.

2. Once they have gathered all the requirements, the animators work on the software and the other tools to start working on the animation part. In certain cases they draw the sketches of the character and visuals to first do their rough work before working on the computer design. Once they have the graphics ready they work on the movements of the graphics and adjust them with the use of the technology to bring the flow in it so that the whole scene looks nice. They also work on the audio part of the clip and sync the visuals with the sound. It takes a lot of time as they have to repeat it number of times to finally get everything right.

3. The animators work in the different stages of the project. The technological part is one. Apart from that, they have to arrange meetings with the clients from time to time to show them the progress and also meet with the director if there is any. This requires them to experience a number of interactions. After that they are sometimes advised to change certain things in the clip and they do that accordingly. The animators are also involved in the sales and marketing, or even distribution of the project. This is because they have clear idea about the project, its potential market and also the features. Thus they work in variety of areas.
