The bank officers work on the following areas most of the times:

1. Once the probation period of the bank officer is completed they are required to work on the basic financial documents of the bank and the clients. They have to prepare those documents and scrutinize them carefully in order to make sure that the documents are correct and there are no errors in the details being filled.

2. The bank officers work in the financial accounting and analysis of the costs and funds. They have to do a number of calculations and analysis for this purpose. Usually the work is assigned by the bank manager and the bank officers have to finish that within short time. They get short assignments which they have to complete in time. Therefore, they work on them using the computer software and calculators.

3. The bank officers spend most of their times in the daily transactions of the bank. They have to work on the cash, cheque, demand drafts and other forms of money transaction or money transfer. Throughout the day they have to work on them and coordinate with cashier and other staff for the same. They need to ensure that they are dealing nicely with the customers and all the cases are getting resolved. The bank officers are responsible for the daily transactions and therefore they need to do this work with great efficiency and productivity to make a valuable contribution.

4. The bank officers need to contact the customers on regular basis. They are also required to meet their existing customers and the potential customers. During these meetings they have to explain the various plans offered by the bank to its clients and how the customers can best get benefited in these schemes. The bank officers are required to explain each and every aspect of the schemes very clearly and convince the customers to opt for any plan. They also do the paper work and other formalities so that these things get simplified for the customers. The customer satisfaction is usually their motto.
