Instrumentation engineering is one of the dynamic branch of engineering that includes study of electrical, chemical, electronics as well as computer engineering. Instrumentation engineers are employed in various industrial settings such as manufacturing, environmental, health, food production, mining and energy production. The key areas on which instrumentation engineers work most of the times include :-
  1. Engineering Research & Development
  2. Control system design and installation
  3. Process control and instrumentation
  4. Installation and management
  5. Sales and service of technical equipment
  6. Project and technology management

The nature of work of an instrumentation engineer varies from designing, developing , installing and managing equipment that are used to monitor and control machinery and processes.
