Below is the list of the things that the chartered accountants work on most of the times:

1. They work on maintaining the financial records of their clients or the company they are working for. This is an important part of their work and requires close scrutinizing of the data and the information. They need to do the analysis of the financial information and make a detailed report on top that so that the results could be provided to the clients.

2. Another important area that chartered accountants work on is the auditing. Both internal and external auditing is the part of their work. In auditing process they need to methodologically review the and examine the accounts. The auditing work is often hectic and requires them to work for long hours during the audit season.

3. The need to work on the cost accounting as well. Cost accounting requires them to work on the cost evaluation of the various assets and liabilities of the organization. They are also required to assess the costs involved in various processes in the company. It requires great analysis on their part and therefore should be done with great care and focus.

4. Chartered accountants also work in the taxation. They work in the area of tax management and manage the tax of the individuals or the companies. Once again this requires them to do a lot of analysis and at the same time keeping and maintaining the financial records of them. The tax management allows the client to save their taxes as much as possible and rightly invest their assets in the right places.

5. The chartered accountants also provide the consultancy to various clients whether individual clients or companies. They need to provide the consulting either as a part of consulting companies or they can also provide individual consultancy to their clients. This work requires them to have clear understanding of the accountancy and also the right communication skills to convey the information to the clients.
