While making a resume, a Chef must keep following things in mind:

1. Highlight the recipes and food items:

It's very important to highlight the recipes and menu items that you created. If possible please mention the special item that was prepared by you earlier. It will give them a good idea of your expertise. It will also show your confidence in a particular recipe.

2. Mention your work clearly:

You have to mention your work experience very clearly. It's important to state what changes did you make at your last work place. In what manner you improved the productivity and the quality.

3. Education background:

Education is important aspect of our personality. If you are from a good college, you need to highlight that factor. It will help you stand out from others.

4. People skills:

People skills are something that every employer is really interested in. As a chef how well you communicate with other team members, is a determining factor in your productivity. Do mention the facts that indicate that you have worked efficiently as a team player. If you have got any appreciation or award while working in a team, do mention that.

5. Don't make it spicy. It's not a recipe.

I am sure if you think from an employer's point of view you may like a spicy dish, but you certainly won't like an exaggerated resume where the candidate is showing off about their skills. Keep it simple. It will work. Stay honest. Keep it short and clear.
