1. The leather technology engineers conduct meetings with the management officials and decide upon the various plans and other future course of action. They have to tell their seniors about the various requirements so that the right budget could be allocated for the project. They need to give presentations from time to time in order to indicate the progress of the project.

2. The leather technology engineers have to contact the suppliers and negotiate with them to fetch the best deals for their company and the project. The suppliers need to be contacted for the timely delivery of the raw material. The quality of the raw material is often an issue for the manufacturers and therefore they have to be really careful about that,

3. The leather technology engineers spend most of their time in processing the leather and working on various tools and machines to purify, process and provide finishing touch to the prepared leather. They also have to work with the designers. The work starts from the cleaning of the leather which is usually done by the workers or laborers with the help of the machines. This is followed by a series of other processes in which the leather is purified and processed to prepare the final product.

4. Even after the manufacturing of the leather product, the leather technology engineers have to stay in touch with the clients and the sales and marketing team to reach out to more clients and the right customer base as they are the experts in this technology.

Therefore the leather technology engineers work on wide range of activities and thus the work is often hectic. They have to develop the suitable skills for these works so that they can be effective in their work and provide their valuable contribution in the field of leather technology.
