Research analyst is a person who can work for varied industries and fields starting from financial, manufacturing, marketing etc. they examine the data collected from various resources and process it to a useful reports and findings based on some analysis.

The reports generated by analyst are than briefed to who ever required to be briefed and make it clear to them. They can further took it forward to increase the efficiency and profit of the company. The main focus is to improve the company performance and growth. It helps in setting the targets of the departments as well as employees and evaluate the performances as per set standards.

Some times the findings and reports are presented in seminars, conferences through presentations.

They have to do a lot of research and analysis on various segments, you can choose your based on your interest areas, few are explained and mentioned below:

  • MarketResearchAnalysis: Using techniques from surveys, focus groups to statisticalanalysisand data mining.Market research person analyses consumershabitsofbuyingto helpcompaniesmarket theirproductsmoreeffectively.

  • Management analysis: This analyst provide support to corporate and another companies strategies to improve sales and profits, standardizing operations.The main focus is on improving sales and reducing the expenses to increase the profit margin.The management analysis is more to forecast the future prospects and find out the deficiencies or say lacking areas to improve and move ahead in same.

  • Operation Research: How to make deficient and optimum use of resource and materials. applies mathematical models and statistics to improve the efficiency and production. He studies each and every area manufacturing expenses and others to come to conclusion and findings. Here mainly statistical and mathematical analysis are important to know the real picture. Actual and planned targets, variance from them, factors deviating the process.

  • Financial Analyst:Monitor all the flow of fund and stocks positions. Recommendation about the buying and selling choices. Sometimes they even work for extended hours in night and weekends but get paid for that, includes annual performance bonus also. They are paid as compared to all other research analysts in the market.
