My Name is Vaibhav and i have worked in Investment Banking Firm as a stock Broker, i would try and give you a first hand explanation of the Work which i used to do and also the responsibilities which would be shared to you.
Stock Brokers
As you Know Financial Market is a dynamic sector where one has to be quite updated on the things happening in and around the companies and economy in general. Let me Explain you the basic work profile of a stock broker with responsibilities.

  • Relationship : You would be responsible to have a sound relationship with the customer you service so that they would provide you stocks to buy and sell and you could generate revenue for company.
  • Awareness : You should be aware about the likes and dislikes of various clients to that when ever there is a opportunity you could provide your client with timely advice and profitable opportunity.
  • Fast in Execution : The key for any broker is to execute the deals or trades of buying and selling for clients in real time. so that you would be able to provide right price to your client for buy and sell
  • Deals : You have to be good negotiator for closing the deal between buyer as well as seller so that both feel their interest is taken care of.
  • Broking : You you have to fulfill your targets by generating revenue from Brokerage by buying and selling of shares on behalf of clients.
  • Leader : You may be responsible for leading a team of dealers for execution of trades but the responsibility would be on you for Stock trading.

You would have be fast and adaptable for being a successful broker.
