I am listing down the main work and responsibilities of a Web Designer:

1. The prime work of any web designer is to develop the look and overall layout of the website. Your sense of designing has to be really good. Remember, many times your work will be judged by the people who do not understand technical aspects. Therefore you will have to make it appealing to everyone.

2. The web designers create graphic and media essentials using photoshop, flash, and other such tools. As a web designer you will be requred to work on these technologies most of the times.

4. Web designers often have to coordinate with clients and their own team members frequently to update them and also to discuss the various aspects of the design. It's a long process. You make a number of changes during the design phase of the website. It requires lengthy discussions and brain storming sessions.

5. Web designers are often required to provide the technical advice during the product development stage. Every developer do takes in to consideration the designers point of view so that they can collectively produce great results.

6. Web designers also have to manage company' rel="nofollow"s newsletters and other news materials for the promotion. Whether it is designing an email template or creating a new logo or creating marketing ad campaign, everywhere the web designer will be consulted.
