There are large number of interesting things that you can do while working as a translator or interpreter. Below is the list of some of those things:

1. As a translator or interpreter you will be traveling to many countries in order to provide your services. This is specially the case with the languages that are widely spoken around the world such as French, Spanish etc. Of course English remains the primary medium of conversation in most of them. You may be able to find yourself in one of the far off lands because you understand their language.

2. As a translator or interpreter you can be a part of various government agencies or even embassy sometimes if you are eligible for that. That way you will enjoy the luxury of working in a top quality environment and hence the work satisfaction.

3. You can also become a part of the international organizations such as United Nations if you are extremely good as an interpreter or translator. You need to show your worth as a professional in order to enter in such renowned organization. Also you need to be flexible to relocate in various countries if you want to go for such options.

4. You can become a teacher in the languages and spread your knowledge to others. Even at the seminars that are often conducted for the interpreters or translators, one gets the opportunity to share their experience with others. Also if you want to provide individual services to any school or college students, you can do that and therefore can also make extra money in the mean time.

5. One of the biggest perks of working as a translator or interpreter is to meet the notable people every now and then.
