The aeronautical engineer has to have nice problem solving skills so that he can solve the complex problems related to the aircraft and other machinery in a perfect manner. The technical skills are built only the problem solving aptitude of the individual and therefore one has to be extraordinarily good in these skills.
The aeronautical engineers need to communicate really well. They have to pass on the instructions, attend meetings with the other officials and maintain the communication via the network whichever is available to them. This requires great deal of communication and coordination. Also they are required too read the instructions carefully and then proceed with their work. All this requires all round communication skills whether it is about written communication of the verbal or the oratory and listening skills. They have to work on these skills.
They have to be very good observers. This skill helps them a lot in case of monitoring and quality checking work. They need to keep a check on the aircraft from time to time about its condition and whether or not it requires maintenance. Therefore they have to be very quick and sharp in their observations and need to note down each and everything that they notice. After that only they can work on the solution part.
They have to be really good strategy makers. This is due to the fact that the aeronautical engineering requires huge amount of planning and strategy making before finalizing the project. How good a plan is, determines the success of the overall project. They have to be really good decision makers and also need to have analytically bent of mind so that they can do their analysis right before making any decision.
The time management skill is very crucial in this profession. The aeronautical engineers cannot afford to delay any task as it may cause some serious troubles in the work of others. Therefore they always have to be on time and keep the things on the right track in terms of time.
